Fame SCPA Production Poster

This is a project I did for school. Or so I thought it as for school. The painting was actually auctioned off at my school's (The School for Creative and Performing Arts ....the same one on Taking the Stage on MTV) production of Fame. I did this in the style of Robert Indiana's LOVE. It was difficult for me because painting is definitely not my strong suit. And everything had to be flat with no brushstrokes. And my paint was chunky and brushstrokey. I had two designs for this piece and I couldn't pick which one I wanted to do so, I put them both together. Hence the top and bottom. I think it has a lot to say about the relationship between MTV and my school and also the allusion to the school in Fame and my school. So just listen.
